Rudopo is live
For a long time our money lived in more than one currency — some in rupees, some in dollars, a little in pounds — and every budgeting app we tried wanted us to pretend it all lived in one. Most of them also wanted our bank logins before they'd show us a single screen. We never felt right handing that over, so we kept going back to spreadsheets that fell apart by March.
Rudopo is the app we wanted and couldn't find. You give every bit of money a job, the old-fashioned envelope way, and you can see at a glance what's actually safe to spend. Any account can sit in its own currency, as long as both it and your budget's currency are ones Rudopo carries an official exchange rate for — and your budget stays in the one you think in. And nothing connects to your bank. You enter things yourself or import a statement, and your data does nothing except run your budget. You can export all of it, or delete your account, whenever you like.
If you're coming from YNAB, you don't have to start from scratch: export your budget there, import it here, and pick up where you left off.
Today Rudopo is open to everyone, wherever you live. It starts with a free trial of up to 30 days; after that it's $4.00 a month, or $35 a year, plus tax where it applies. If it isn't for you, cancel before the trial ends and you won't pay a thing.
This is day one, and it'll keep getting better from here. We'd genuinely love to hear what you think — what's missing, what gets in your way. Come and say hello on our Discord, where we read everything, and follow @rudopo.app on Bluesky if you'd like to hear when new things land.
Thank you for giving it a try.
